Seeking a Communications and Program Coordinator!
This multi-talented person will be primarily responsible for overall communication and marketing duties, along with other duties as assigned. The position is based out of our Burlington office, with the option to work up to two days per week remotely, if desired. Core responsibilities include:
Coordinating the logistics and promotion of educational events,
Managing and maintaining VEOC’s communications channels, including our social media, website, newsletter, etc.,
Collaborating on the management of our CRM and other data systems,
Event management for annual conference, including registration, speaker organization, space design and coordination with event space staff
Attending in-person events to promote VEOC’s mission, and
working with the Board and staff to increase the visibility of the VEOC and employee ownership in Vermont.
The VEOC is a non-profit organization with the mission to promotes and fosters employee ownership of Vermont businesses. Basic understanding of – and enthusiasm for – our mission is essential!
Qualifications:
Essential:
Excellent writing and other communications skills.
Experience with marketing principles, promotional strategies, and social media.
Comfortable working with, and learning new, technology.
At least 2 years related experience.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Ability to work independently.
Passionate about growing employee ownership.
Desirable:
Experience speaking and presenting to groups.
Experience with grants.
Experience with CRMs and/or data management.
Professional experience in business and/or economic development environments.
Experience working for an employee-owned company.
Compensation and Benefits:
This position is part-time, 25 or 30 hours per week (as desired by the applicant). Pay starts at $28 per hour, increasing to $29 at the six month anniversary. Benefits include:
4% retirement plan match.
