The Vermont Employee Ownership Center is excited to announce that Heritage Aviation is the newest member of Vermont's community of employee-owned companies. After considering transitioning to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) for a while, this fall we ran two educational sessions for the new employee-owners, with the help of staff from long-time ESOP Gardener's Supply Company, and the ESOP was officially put in on January 1, 2016! Their full press release can be found here, and representatives of the company will be on hand at the VEOC's annual meeting on January 19th in the State House to discuss the experience of becoming employee owned.
