The Vermont Employee Ownership Center (VEOC) is offering a free workshop entitled “Selling to the Employees: Employee Ownership as a Path for Business Succession” on October 19, 2011 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at PC Construction's Corporate Office, 193 Tilley Drive, South Burlington, VT.
The workshop will include a brief overview of ownership succession options and will focus on the pros and cons of different forms of employee ownership and the key financial and organizational benefits of this approach.

Mike Sessions is our special guest. Mike is the Senior Vice President of PC Construction Company (formerly Pizzagalli Construction), a 100% employee-owned company based in South Burlington, VT. Mike has also worked as Vice President of Business Development and Vice President of Operations at PC. He has given numerous presentations covering Employee Stock Ownership Plans and other topics at both local and national conferences. He was instrumental in PC Construction’s receipt of the NCEO’s 2007 Innovation in Employee Ownership Award. He serves as the Vice Chair of the VEOC Board.
Mike will tell the story about how PC Construction went from a family-owned business to a 100% employee-owned company.
The workshop is co-sponsored by the Vermont Small Business Development Center, the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Burlington Industrial Corporation. There is no registration fee, but advance registration is required. Refreshments will be served.
