Two of the Best Places to Work in Vermont in 2010
Two Vermont employee-owned companies are among the 15 winners of the 2010 Best Places to Work in Vermont Awards. King Arthur Flour Company (Norwich) and Resource Systems Group (White River Junction) were both winners in the small- to medium-sized company category.
This is the fourth year that both companies have received the award. The program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best workplaces in Vermont, companies that benefit the state’s economy, workforce and businesses.
Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Vermont. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25 percent of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75 percent of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Vermont and also analyzed the data to determine the final rankings.
The program was created by Vermont Business Magazine, the Vermont State Chamber of Commerce, the Vermont Department of Labor, the Vermont Department of Economic Development, the Society for Human Resource Management-Vermont State Council, and Best Companies Group. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration, survey and analysis process in Vermont. Click here for more information on the Best Places to Work in Vermont program.
